  • Bosun’s Urban Medium Paver is also 150mm x 200mm but is 60mm thick with much smaller, “mini-bevel”. The end result is a seamless finish. The Smooth Ethnic paver is easier to install with it’s standard bevelled edges.
  • The Bosun Bevel Bond Paver can be used in combination with this paver due to its thickness.
  • We recommend using the Bosun Figure 12 Kerb for a neat edge restraint on your paving.
  • A generic name commonly used for this product is a “Cottage Stone paver”.
  • Never install plastic sheeting under paving as it badly affects the base structure. Plastic sheeting DOES NOT prevent weeds from growing. Weeds grow when seeds are deposited from above into the joints between pavers.

  • For general jointing, we recommend using Kiln Dried Jointing Sand. Available from Cretesol, this specially graded, kiln-dried silica sand flows seamlessly into paving joints, filling them much more effectively compared to what plaster sand does, and creating superb interlock between the pavers.
  • For paved surfaces on steep slopes, we recommend using polymeric jointing sand such as Romex NP Jointing Sand to stabilise the joints and prevent the jointing sand from washing out.
  • Paved areas under gutter downpipes should be treated with a jointing stabiliser and sealer such as Resiblock 22. Doing this will prevent the jointing material from washing out and will prolong the lifespan of your paving.
