Split Bevel Bond Paver

The Split Bevel Bond Paver is the same size as a standard Bevel paving brick but creates the impression of 100mm x 100mm cobble pavers when installed. The Split Bevel Bond Paver is a cost-effective alternative to traditional Wet-Cast Cobble pavers.

The Split Bevel Bond Paver is also available with a Rio Rocoso texture which creates the effect of a ripple-surface. The Rio Rocoso texture is exclusively available in an Autumn Blend colour.

  • Good alignment for these pavers is crucial to create a neat finish.
  • We recommend that this paver be installed in the herringbone pattern which creates superior interlock.
  • Tyres leave marks on any type or colour of paving. Darker colours will hide it better but will still appear.
  • Be very careful when using cement grouting on textured paving, they are more prone to cement stain. Click here for other grouting solutions.
  • Straight lines are critical in the installation of this paver.
  • A well compacted base layer is critical to providing stability in any paving installation, this will prevent pavers from collapsing in any area.
  • A similar alternative is the Bevel Bond Paver which is also 50mm thick. 50mm thick products are good for residential driveways but not recommended for commercial driveways.
  • The Bosun 60mm Interlocker is also available in a Rio Rocoso texture with the added benefit of it being 60mm thick.
  • Use Figure 12 Kerbs for a neat edge restraint on your paving.
  • For general jointing, we recommend using Kiln Dried Jointing Sand. Available from Cretesol, this specially graded, kiln-dried silica sand flows seamlessly into paving joints, filling them much more effectively compared to what plaster sand does, and creating superb interlock between the pavers.
  • For paved surfaces on steep slopes, we recommend using polymeric jointing sand such as Romex NP Jointing Sand to stabilise the joints and prevent the jointing sand from washing out.
  • Paved areas under gutter downpipes should be treated with a jointing stabiliser and sealer such as Resiblock 22. Doing this will prevent the jointing material from washing out and will prolong the lifespan of your paving.
